Meet Ed Rivera
Welcome, and thank you for visiting.
My name is Ed Rivera. I am a small business owner, publisher, advocate, and author whose work is centered around one simple belief:
Our past may shape us, but it does not have to define us.
As the author of the Child's Eyes series, I share my personal journey through childhood physical abuse, emotional abuse, neglect, parental disconnection, and the lasting effects of trauma. These books follow my life from a confused and hurting child, through difficult teenage years, and into adulthood as I searched for healing, understanding, and purpose.
The Child's Eyes series is not simply a story about trauma.
It is a story about resilience.
It is a story about survival.
It is a story about breaking generational cycles.
Most importantly, it is a story about hope.
Through faith, self-reflection, and a commitment to healing, the boy who once felt forgotten found a way forward. Today, my mission is to help others understand that healing is possible and that no one is defined by the worst moments of their past.
That mission led to the creation of #ERPACT — Parents Against Childhood Trauma.
As a survivor of childhood trauma, I understand firsthand how experiences in childhood can affect relationships, self-worth, mental health, and decision-making well into adulthood. Through #ERPACT, I work to raise awareness, encourage conversations, educate parents, and advocate for breaking cycles of abuse and neglect before they are passed on to future generations.
Our message is simple:
Awareness Today. Healing Tomorrow.
In addition to writing about difficult subjects, I also believe in the power of positive stories that help shape young minds. That belief inspired me to create The Chronicles of Chubby Nelson, a children's book series focused on friendship, kindness, courage, self-worth, inclusion, and personal growth.
Through Chubby Nelson and his friends, young readers learn valuable life lessons about treating others with respect, believing in themselves, and understanding that being different is something to celebrate—not hide. These stories were created to give children the encouragement, acceptance, and positive messages that every child deserves.
Whether you're here because of the Child's Eyes series, #ERPACT, The Chronicles of Chubby Nelson, or simply to learn more about my work, I am grateful you're here.
My hope is that these stories inspire conversations, encourage healing, and remind people that even in life's darkest moments, there is still a path forward.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
Welcome to my world.
